New mini cycle hubs installed at Arnos Grove Station

This week we installed two new mini cycle hubs at Arnos Grove Station! They are free to use and offer people cycling an undercover space to lock their bike up. Our team at Enfield Council designed these unique hubs and we plan to install more across the Borough.

The mini hub is a mobile unit to ascertain demand for secure cycle parking. Our permanent solution contains CCTV and lighting along with fob access.

The two tier racking is industry standard accommodating the majority of bikes, providing two locking points. Our open solution used at Arnos Grove Station is to provide cover for cycles form the elements whilst increasing cycle parking in a small foot print. The two mini hubs provide eight parking spaces for cycles, whereas Sheffield stands would require a 6 metre foot print to provide the same number of spaces.
