Bike markets are back!
Last Saturday 12th June brought not only the start of a warm and sunny weekend, but also a warm and welcomed return of our second-hand bike markets.
The bike markets, brought to Enfield by Peddle My Wheels, gives residents the chance to buy adult and children’s bikes at a reasonable price and also bring their unwanted or outgrown bikes for sale.
If you missed the first bike market at Enfield Library Green, don’t worry! The Healthy Streets have organised another 7 bike markets to take place every two weeks over the summer. The markets will be held in 5 different locations across the borough, so wherever you live you’ll find one not too far away.
If you’re thinking of buying or selling a bike, pop along to one of our markets. More details on the dates and times can be found at https://cycleenfield.co.uk/news/upcoming-bike-markets-and-dr-bike/
Dr Bike will also be at each of the markets, so if you already own a bike but need to have your bike checked over, our experienced mechanics will be on hand to take a look, make minor repairs, offer advice and even provide free bike registration for protection against theft.
For those of you who use our regular Dr Bike sessions, you’ll already know that Dr Bike mechanics can check everything on your bike from wheels, brakes, gears, tyre pressure to lights, racks, pedals and saddles. For problems that cannot be fixed on site, Dr Bike will advise on the work needed and an approximate guide as to the cost of a repair at a bike shop. For more details on where to find out about out regular Dr Bike sessions, go to https://cycleenfield.co.uk/activities-new/dr-bike-cycle-checks/
The next bike market/Dr Bike event will be taking place on Saturday June 26th at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, outside Lidl in The Concourse, Smythe Close, from 10am to 4pm.
We hope to see you there.
